Mark Smith's Digital Stim has it's roots in the project of the same name that James and Mark started with Kitchener drummer Troy Little in the spring of 2000. While the effort did not lead directly to performing or recording, the creativity spurred a number of new songs and an album idea.
Over the course of about a year, the three core members of Digital Stim auditioned a number of potential members including guitarists, keyboard players, and even a saxophone player. Nothing gelled and other endeavours took the focus of each member, which spelled the end of Digital Stim
In 2007 Mark rekindled the concept and set out ot record the album that never was. This release is the result of those efforts.
